Mervat's "One Jacket Five Ways Challenge," #2 of 5: Anniversary-refashioned dress

Partially due to my Wardrobe Refashion pledge, and partially because I can be awfully sentimental, I made this dress out of the shirt that my husband wore for our first date when we were 19-year-old college students. You can read more about it here.

Earrings: a little hole-in-the-wall shop, somewhere in Philly.
Necklace: gift from mom.
Jacket: Loehman's.
Dress: made by me from husband's old shirt.
Leggings: Max Rave.
Boots: Dansko.

  1. Oh I love that dress, what a nice work, dear, and I know I'm also that sentimental...

    Looking great

  2. I really love this outfit. It's like the jacket was made for your special dress. You also look so long in it too....must have something to do with the size of the jacket and the dark leggings/boots:)

  3. Thanks, Seeker. :-)

Penny- I'm so glad you hear you think the jacket looks like it goes with the dress. I thought it felt rather bland, but looking at it from your perspective, I can see how it seems like a sort-of ensemble. Thank you!
