Technicolor grey

Might that be an oxymoron?

On a whim, I purchased two brightly-colored pairs of tights many months ago. This was the first time that I got up the nerve to wear the turquoise ones. The neon pink ones have yet to make an appearance. That may take me a while.

Cardigan: H&M.
Dress: Payhalf.
Necklace: dollar store, modified by me.
Earrings: gift from husband, from a little shop on Olvera Street in L.A.
Bracelet: Claire's.

  2. The tights a lovely and that dress is GORGEOUS! It suits your frame so well.

What is it about buying something we are attracted to and having it sit in the cupboard for weeks, months or even years before we may wear it? I say break the fuscia tights soon and enjoy!!

  3. P.S. I had a closer look at your pic and the necklace is beautiful. I am also a fan of adding a mustard/neutral bangle to an outfit. I think it adds another attractive element.

  5. Someone, Seeker, Honeybunches (I hope you don't mind that I shorten your name), Mervat and Lmac: I'm glad to hear that you all think the tights seem to work with this dress! I thought it was a little wacky, but hey, I like a little wacky. I may have to break out the neon pink tights soon!

And P.S. Mervat: That necklace, and its matching earrings and bracelet that I'm not wearing here, cost me a whole two bucks at a dollar store! It was originally two cheap necklaces, but I used pliers to refashion them, incorporating an old cheap pair of stud earrings. I have had people ask me if they're vintage. That always cracks me up. Oh, I just remembered, I'm wearing the whole set here, but the picture quality is pretty bad, so it's hard to make it out: http://circleofclothes.blogspot.com/2009/01/silly-flower-belt.html
