Mervat's "One Jacket Five Ways Challenge," #1 of 5

I chose this jacket for Mervat's challenge because for a while after I first bought it (like 2 years, seriously), I had a hard time finding ways to wear it that don't involve pink. I felt obligated to match the subtle pink stripes in the jacket's plaid (the pink stripes are brighter than they're showing up in this washed-out photograph). Once it finally occurred to me that I should just treat it like a neutral because the pink stripes are subtle, I started having a lot more fun with it.

Speaking of fun, why not plaid over plaid?

Earrings: a little hole-in-the-wall shop, somewhere in Philly.
Necklace: found.
Jacket: Loehman's.
Blouse: H&M.
Cargo pants: H&M.
Shoes: Dansko.

  3. That's a super cute little jacket, S. It would look horrid on me. Mucho cute-o on you.

I really understood your comment the day I posted my Valued Followers Award. Blogging started so small for me and seems to just expand to fit whatever time I give it. It's so fun and rewarding that it's worth it. I'm going to check out your other blog! Didn't realize you had another one.

    Love, SM

  4. Stephanie, this is a wonderful jacket. It is very pretty and I like how you have paired with a plaid shirt - very funky! I look forward to the other 4 looks!
